The first EP, produced entirely by the Wighnomy brothers, at Freude am Tanzen begins crisply with the track “I miss you babe,” known from the INHOUSE 2 Modern House Sounds compilation. Accompanied by a Rhodes, the beats swing on the sides and leave an airy feel.
Track number 2, titled “Lovely Day,” deliberately starts the day with soulful melodies | sung by the charming Delhia, also featured on “Raumpatrouille” on FAT006. In between, breakbeat-type elements emerge, combining with Dehlias’ vocals for maximum effect.
Clicking on Clack, the third track “Bobb” appears and one is amazed at the beats that follow one another. Cut vocal samples play simultaneously with the patter of a big hammer, filtered out and then another melody that rests softly on the beat building, allowing the romance to rise again-Click Clack and it goes on and on and on….
Boom Chuck Boom Chuck, not only the direct Boom, but also the tinkling Chuck or the hooked bass make track number 4 “Yearning” turn into a beautiful flower. Moreover, it is the power of Dehlia’s voice that brings us close to longing, to touching the spot | a feeling of warmth settles deep inside us.
The Wighnomy Brothers are Soeren Bodner and producer Gabor Schablitzki, also known as Machiste (Thrillbeatconstruction), part of Beefcake (Thrillbeatconstruction) and who makes tracks like Robag Wruhme on Musik Krause Rec. Accompanied by Misses Delhia (Franziska Grohmann) who not only sings on two of the tracks on this EP, but also wrote the lyrics.
